About Sporting Arms Custom Grips

Sporting Arms Custom Grips is a Costa Rican company founded in 1998 by Gregory Warne.

My name is Guiselle Samuels, and I am in charge of the Sales department here at Armas Deportivas. Our company has a history linked to the firearms industry, originating with the establishment of "Kimber of Oregon" in 1979 by Jack Warne and his son Greg Warne in Clackamas, Oregon. After leaving Kimber, Greg Warne pursued his passion for firearms by founding Sporting Arms Custom Grips in Granadilla, San Pedro, Costa Rica.

Here, he specialized in crafting custom gun grips from locally sourced hardwoods until his passing in 2006. Leaving his legacy to wholesale production of high-quality pistol grips made from cocobolo, also known as rosewood (Dalbergia retusa)

Since 1998, we have been supplying renowned firearms manufacturers with grips for popular models such as the 1911, Browning Hi-Power, and Ruger, Vaquero, Single Six, MKII & MKIII, etc.

We offer customization services for pistol and knife grips to meet the specific needs of our clients. Our commitment to quality ensures that we provide only excellent grade of cocobolo wood also known as rosewood (Dalbergia retusa).
